Mohammad Dahdoule
Migration Advisor

Mohammad Dahdoule is a registered migration agent with many years of experience in Australian Immigration law and procedures. Since 1998 he has been working in the area of refugee settlement and has provided settlement services, advocacy and migration advice to people who arrived in Australia under the Refugee and Special Humanitarian Programs.

A core interest of Mohammad’s is the integration and harmonious living together of people from Arabic and Islamic backgrounds and the wider Australian community in which he plays a key role as an agent bridging the two cultures.

 

Inas Mussa
Red Cross Case Worker

Inas’ family background is Eritrean and born in Sudan she came to Australia in 1999. Having qualified as a Social Worker, currently she works for the Australian Red Cross on its Community Care Pilot Programme.

Inas has previous experience variously as a Case Worker, Youth Worker and Community Development Worker with Islamic Women’s Welfare Council, Footscray Office of Housing, Salvation Army (Refugee Women, Domestic Violence) and the Southern Ethnic Advisory & Advocacy Council.

Theresa Sengaaga Ssali B.S.W.
Senior Social Worker

Theresa is the Senior Social Worker & Team Leader for the African Holistic Settlement Service of Victoria (AHSSV) a service managed by the Eastern & Central African Communities of Victoria. (EACACOV) She came to Australia as a Ugandan refugee during the ‘Idi Amin’ period and has worked here for the last 18 years having qualified as a Social Worker at Monash University, worked as a Librarian at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), is a trained Mediator, gazetted and registered with the Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria (DSCV) and holds a Certificate IV in Assessment & Work Place Training.

Theresa has extensive experience in direct service provision and development of programmes to address needs and gaps in services for refugees, newly arrived migrants and emerging communities from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, in particular Africans. She delivers cross-cultural training and information to government departments at all levels, non-profit organisations and many mainstream service providers. Additionally Theresa is engaged in research, policy development and advocacy on issues surrounding the resettlement in Australia of African and other newly emerging CALD communities. She has published and presented papers at major conferences in relation to mental health issues amongst African immigrants in Melbourne.
